I am from The Woodlands and currently live in Montgomery with my teen twins who attend Oak Hills Junior High. In 2012 I opened Clear Choice Acupuncture in downtown Conroe and moved the practice to Montgomery in October of 2023. Before opening in Conroe, I worked on Crystal Cruises as the Onboard Acupuncturist, traveling throughout the Mediterranean and Carribean Seas. My family loves cruising and travel and I am always happy to talk about the latest adventure we are on.
I studied Chinese Medicine at AOMA Integrative Medicine school in Austin for both my Masters and Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. While in my Masters program, I had the opportunity to study in China at our sister school in Chengdu China.
I love practicing Chinese Medicine and am always learning more about herbal medicine and nutrition to better help my patients and my family. As a child, I started getting migraines when I was nine years old. I spent a lot of time in doctors offices and undergoing procedures to determine the cause. I took all the recommended medicines and especially as a young adult it was always the choice of being knocked out my medicines or knocked out with the pain of a migraine.
Then while in my undergraduate program, I started seeing an acupuncturist. She changed my diet, started me on herbal medicine and changed my life. While I still consider myself a migraine patient, I do not have anything close to the frequency and severity of migraines I had before starting acupuncture and then becoming a Chinese medicine practitioner myself.
