Alyson Bayer

Alyson Bayer is a native of The Woodlands and currently lives there with her 5 year old twins Marie and Alex. She attended the AOMA Graduate School of Intergrative Medicine in Austin where she received her Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, a four year degree, in 2009.

Before moving home to help out with her family and starting her practice in Conroe, Alyson spent a year practicing acupuncture in Pensacola, Florida. Prior to this, she spent a year sailing around the Mediterranean and Caribbean Oceans as the onboard acupuncturist for the Crystal Serenity.

She is a Texas licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.), and maintains a diplomat of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Alyson received her Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the AOMA Graduate School of Oriental Medicine located in Austin, Texas after completing her undergraduate requirements at Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas.

Currently, Alyson is finishing her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with a specialty in pain management and is doing research on Sensory Processing disorder in children. She is a Texas Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.), and maintains a Diplomat of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

During her four years of study at AOMA, Alyson had the opportunity to spend two months traveling and studying at the Traditional Chinese Medical teaching hospital in Chengdu, the capital of the Sichuan providence of China. While in China she spent a week studying Tai Chi and Qigong at a monastery located on the beautiful Emei Mountain. Before ending her journey and coming home to Texas, she spent a week touring Tibet and its monasteries and even experienced Tibetan medicine.
